Re: Hello and Welcome!
I suppose I should post here, even though I have been in FUN for a while now...
Anyways, I live in Calgary, Alberta... Not much to say about myself, I'm just an ordinary student.
Oh, I am a blackbelt, but it's irrelavant...

Holy cow Shard!!! You nailed it lmao, good old Morrisonville, Illinois
. And to answer your question Morpheus, I'm going to school at Illinois State. Where are you from, being only 1 hour from me? I can't believe someone has heard of Morrisonville, most of my friends from ISU are from Chicago and just give me a blank stare when I tell them where I'm from then call me a hillbilly
(anything south of I-80 is considered "country")
Re: Hello and Welcome!
I grew up in another podunk illinois town called Mattoon. Older brother went to Illinois State as well. Nice to have you with us. Your not to far from me now then either...i live in Peoria

Second dan in Taekwondo.
I'm planning on learning Judo soon, as well.

Re: Hello and Welcome!
naw Taekwondo is flawed. too easy to become a black belt in Taekwondo and karate i think. Do Jujitsu, its better than Judo. Judo is the "lite" version of Jujitsu so to speak.
Re: Hello and Welcome!
I know Taekwondo is somewhat flawed, but it is handy. I've been doing it for 8 years, I'm interested in Judo now for the various locks, throws, whatnot. I should take a look at Jujitsu, seeing how highly you regard it.

My Dad teaches me and Dantopia some Judo locks/throws etc

Re: Hello and Welcome!
i think if history serves me correctly, judo was a nerfed version of jujitsu for high school students. my sensei is a black belt in jujitsu so i get most of my details from him.

Re: Hello and Welcome!
Hello I have been in funlite for a little while now and figured I should post here. I am a college student in Florida, I am 20 years old and I study Russian language and Russian/Eastern European Government Studies with a minor in military science. In terms of martial arts as that seems to be the topic of conversation I am a brown belt (7/10) in Tae Soo Do which is like funlite for Hwa Rang Do. (after a black belt in Tae Soo Do you start over and work you way up sashes in Hwa Rang Do and then you get to the real training at black sash; 7 ranks of black sash to become a master) I generally play Gaul but on S6 chose to try out Romans. I have never been in an alliance like this one that says that they will help you and then can and does. I tend to play a defensively for the reason stated above. I look forward to eventually participating with the offensive actions of the alliance.
