Oasis Reservation

friends,

pls post ur oasis reservations here,the rules are same as for reserving for a new villa.Pls make a post before taking a oasis to prevent any conflict.

i think it should be 15c>9c and offensive>defensive.

Reasoning is that its easier to have defense spread out a little bit then it is offensive.

Oases are not simply first come, first served. Before you take an oasis, I think it is easiest to just IGM allies who could potentially claim it (i.e. those in the 7x7 of the oasis).

It is always best to work things out with your neighbours through negotiation, but in cases of dispute, 15c have precedence over 9c and 9c over 6c for crop oases. 5-clay/iron/lumber have priority over 4 (and 4 over 3, and 3 over 1) for other resources. For mixed oasis, the village who would get more fields boosted has priority (this is the general principle). E.g. a 9c and 5-clay both have access to a clay/crop oasis. The 9c will have 12 fields boosted (9 crop, 3 clay), the 5-clay will have 11 fields boosted (6 crop, 5 clay), so the 9c has a slight priority.

I don't personally think there is any need for this thread since our croppers are spaced out enough that we don't need to share our croppers, and if we do it should be settled privately. Only if there are issues regarding a specific oasis should it come here

If a problem arises with the oasis distribution, leaders will resolve them.

this may be the case for the majority of FUN who is very spread out but not for LITE and FLANK i can assure you. crops around my 15c and 9c are shared by 2-4 players. i think some rules should be put in place about this earlier rather then later

umm... there are problems in main to. we are not that spread out. I am trying to contact ThemBones because he took one of the three 25% crop oasises that my 15 cropper will need in the future. He has others he can take instead.

If you want to have a good sized hammer, then yes 3 oasis

If you want to have a good sized hammer, then yes 3 oasis

sure, then again with the cost of the 5 more lvls for the hero mansion you get a good sized army

In the long run, 15c villages will need as many crop oases as they can get. Other resources will be less of an issue than crop. This is not currently the case. But everyone should be aware that hammers get oasis priority in the long run. This is not open permission for hammers to take crop oases without discussion. But it is a warning to anyone near a 15c village being used to house a hammer that if you take one of their oases you will be handing it over at some point in the future.

Yup. I've work\ed it out with Thembones and will take it when I need it. However, I will take the other two available first. Then later in the server, the one he has.
