Cropper reservations

Not to shoot down our leadership or badmouth it in any form or way, but in the past, and strongly implied in the present, croppers are not guaranteed given that you do not settle it quick.

What this results in, is people will tend to settle their croppers first or settle a 6c next to it and rush build a residence to settle the cropper as soon as it is physically possible followed by using an expansions slot in the cropper to build another village.

I disagree with this concept.

First of all, it is extremely hard to avoid using an expansion slot in the cropper if we make people rush it. Second of all, expansion slots in the cropper is invaluable to people and the alliance at the end of the game. Does anyone here, know the humongous difference between a 3 chief attack and a 2 chief attack?

3 Chiefs are a lethal force, every single member that was active in our server last season knows that without a doubt. Every single member.

So I will make the appeal to the leadership team - Allow prolonged reservations for croppers.

In my opinion, the difference between settling a cropper tomorrow and settling it a month and a half later is that you end up with a more stable force. Sure, someone else may come and take it from us. But a second Moonshine will not happen at this stage in the game, no one, will ever settle a lone cropper as their 2nd 3rd or 4th village in hostile territory without a support or allied village within 10 squares of it. Sure, the cropper is untaken, but within our alliance, that cropper has someone's name all over it. Once again, does it really matter if the owner or reserver takes it immediately? It will still become part of the alliance in the end, it's an investment.

Agreed. When you are ready to settle, let VersusAllOdds know whether you plan on settling a 9/15 cropper, or a 6 cropper NEXT to a 9/15 cropper.

As for the "Moonshine Effect", we are settling the SH where our first opposing villages may only be 3-4 weeks away.

I intend to settle a cropper as a third stronghold village as that makes it significantly easier to support a level 15 palace to save the expansion slot. Will this still be a valid reservation?

I would also like to reserve a 15c after I get 3 supports in the SH around it of course.

so only 13 people get to have croppers in our alliance this round ....i do not agree with this ...this qould put us at a huge disadvantage sine we have to settle every ville in the sh and only 13 villes are croppers....

Mike where did you get that? Also, check out the area as some of those already have villages around them. We may have to look into a different area as most people (imo) wouldn't want to settle with others already there.

Who on earth told you that was our location for the SH? The skeptical shards of information i've received indicates that your coordinates are WAY off.

Yes, the SH centre location is -90|210, just like in the MM I sent.

Halt all the cropper reservations for now.

ok...i have been informed that "if you want a cropper settle it now their will be no long term reservations" i have been told if you want cropper settle it now.........why would i do that? how can you support a cropper 36 hours away?

you may say merchants could or raid your own village....how from 36 HOURS AWAY

last server wasnt it a must that you MUST have supports before taking a cropper? it was aye? ok then so why do we have leaders who say now basically just to take the cropper as second village....if all of us do this WE WOULD BE SO FAR BEHIND IT WOULDN'T BE FUNNY we need to have a reservation system....

it used to be you could reserve croppers because you have to build supports to suffisely support a 15c or even a 9c

you may say fine someone takes yours just settle another one......who cares if its an extra hour away instead of 10-16 min you built a support for a reason....


my main point is supports....we need them....you cant build a cropper without them....if you think you can then no matter how "superior" you are you cant.....

if you ask me some leaders need to be adjusted....some of them are a lil somewhat of a raving lunactic that is close minded ......some of the new leaders are crap ...no offence its just not the nsame...and some of them arent that active in skype and old leaders or persons of charge last server are not allowed in chat...thats b.s. but different topic....

Mike, you can either get a cropper now and cope with it, or you can take a support village and risk that cropper being occupied.
There are no reservations that you can't fulfill in a short period of time (a few days, a week, ten days, whatever shorter than 2 weeks, I'd say).
You can't reserve a truckload of unoccupied valleys and enjoy the good sides of quick 6 cropper development.
Make your choice, and make it wisely

I have just reread your post mike, and realized how arrogant and selfish you are. What do you think, that me and kaitlyn are stupid for taking a 15cropper straight away? We want to have it as soon as possible without risking it to fall to wrong hands.
I don't know where did you get that attitude. This alliance isn't assembled around a single member, and you can't forbid people to take a cropper just cuz you are probably going to occupy it in 6 weeks.

Edit 2:
This topic is obsolete. All the members have to talk to their leaders first, say if they want a specific location, or request one to be given. Then, leaders check if it's not reserved in the leadership sector and give a green light or not.
