Glad to see you are settling...my advice is try to stay clusterd together, its quicker for merchants and boosting of your own villages.. oh and just dont settlin in any more of my spots please...lol! No seriously! Suspect

look at the area you're settling in. Does it have enough oases and does it have enough croppers?

Are you looking for advice on location (which is what V-la and Simmy have briefly answered) or on the actual mechanics of how to get settlers and send them off?
