I can't decide...

I am trying to decide what I should get as my next village. Right now I have my second village as a 9-cropper in the SH with two 25% wheat oasises. I have been going back and forth if I should pick up a 15-cropper about 14 squares away that only has one 25% oasis. I have been using gold lately too. I was wondering what you all think and also, what would be better as my capital since I already have a 9-cropper and if I got a 15-cropper, it would slow my growth down a bit. Plus in the area I am in, the new players haven't made it out that far so that I could raid to get resources. A 9-cropper would produce more and be easier to manage, but last time I had a 15-cropper, I had 75% worth of oasis, so I don't know what would be a better investment.

Well, given that you have chosen to have a 9 cropper capital, I don't think you need a 15 cropper this quick. I suggest you to risk it being settled, and settle it a bit later on

Yep, probably better for your 3rd village to be close to your 2nd one. Is the 15c within a 20 field radius of -90|210?

No, the 15c is near my second at -131|218. I think I'll just make my 9-cropper my capital and build a village next to it next. I'll pick one up later if I can.

You're quite some distance from the stronghold. I make that to be over 41 fields. You do realise that it is our policy to not defend villages outside the stronghold?

what is the limit, i've seen 40 and 60. i plan to make my 3rd a 15c at -60 220. thats 4 squares from my 2nd one and close to alot of Lite members. i would try and move closer to *f but all the 15c are gooone

No, that is part of the SH. Thats where I was placed. And yes, I know that the policy is that we do not reinforce villages not a part of the stonghold. That's why I asked leadership to place me. I suggest you do some research on where the SH is. I have close to 5 people other people around me. We do have close to 100 people in this alliance so the SH can't be a tiny area to allow us to have farms.

The post in which the SH is explained does not mention any size other than a 40x40 area (which is a radius of 20 from the centre if you think in a circle, which makes more sense than a square, even if it is a little trickier to calculate where the boundary is).

Yeah, I understand the concern. It would be nice to keep it as small as possible to allow us to reinforce quicker and more efficiently.
