Catapulting

Post  DZ|Cursez on Tue Mar 03, 2009 6:51 pm

Ever wondered how to deal maximum damage in the shortest period of time ? Sending multiple waves of catapults after your clearing wave is the answer. However you must be carefull. By making a time gap between the attacks ( for example 2 sec gap ) you have a risk of enemy inputting reinforcements to kill your catapult waves. Catapult waves have little amount of Offense if you consider the cost and upkeep of catapults and its very easy to wipe. Good timed defense can do that. That is why you must send clearing wave + multiple cata waves to arrive in matter of 1 or 2 seconds. My record is sending 1 clearing wave and 5 catapult waves in 1 second, that is 6 attacks to land in same second. How do i do it?

This works only for Mozilla Firefox users. I do not know about other programs. Open several tabs in which you prepared the attacks. Lets say you have 4 tabs. First tab is you clearing wave , other 3 are cata waves. Make sure that you reach the final " Ok " button. Go to tab No.1. Now place your mouse over the " Ok " button and start looking at the travian time. When you see that new second started start doing following -

1. Start clicking mouse like mad while its on the " Ok " button.
2. With your left hand hold "Ctrl" and press tab as fast as you can.

With Ctrl+tab you cycle through the tabs ,while with clicking the mouse you are sending attacks. With time you will get better and better.

This can work for any other program if you know how to cycle fast through the tabs.

In safari, you can use tab to select the "ok" button. Once you have selected it, don't press return. Instead, cycle through all your tabs and get "ok" selected on each of them. Then you can quickly alternate between pressing return (to select "ok") and Command-W (to close the tab). I find that method is quicker than using the mouse for me.

My record is 10 waves in 2 seconds.

Great guide, just would like to note that you should beware of lag because this can make some of your waves up to 10 seconds off depending on how fast your net is.

I experimented (with a lag problem) with this using IE 6 in Win XP. Opened 1 browser of travian. I set up my attack (escorts and cats). I clicked on the ok button at which time I experienced the lag. During this time, I clicked on the ok button multiple times. I managed to get 5 waves off in less than 3 seconds (albeit, not quite as fast as others). Use the lag to your advantage in this case.

Just learned something new today and I thought I should share with you guys.
Tools needed: Firefox (no plugin, no script)

1. For each attack open a tab for it.
2. In each tab select what troop you want to send and make sure they all travel at same speed (include a imp to each tab if no cats, or include 1 cat in each tab, you know the drill)
3. Click the ok button once in each tab so each of the tab display the final page with the second OK button.
4. Go to File, then click on "Work Offline" so now your firefox will work in offline mode.
5. Go to each tab and click the ok button and of course the page will display you are in offline mode and with a Try Again button at bottom.
6. Now go to File, then click on "work offline" again so now your browser is work in online mode.
7. Make sure the very first tab is your hammer army tab (or clear wave).
8. Right click on that tab and chose Reload All Tabs, and right after the click, make sure you hit enter over and over as fast as you can.
9. After these, you should see all attacks left your village at same second and lands on same seconds.

I think this is a great trick since no need any external help. or program or script.

I was able to send 14 attacks landing in 2 seconds using this method. I find that it is a lot easier and more reliable than the Ctrl-tab method in IE.
