You mean people don't already have garrisons? I think they are a good idea for this very reason. Everyone should have at least a couple of scouts in their village too, otherwise the garrison will simply be overwhelmed with larger force. Of course, a garrison and a couple of scouts can be overwhelmed, but it takes a much large commitment from a raider to do so, and often you get a bit more warning.

There is the possibility that we provide a boost over a few days to a specific already developed FUN player who has the skill to take this problem player down.

That person uses sent resources on and only on producing a hammer of sufficient power to obliterate the player.

There was a player on S3 who worked exactly the same way, yansumin I think his name there was. He proved to be a major PITA and took 4 alliances a few weeks to destroy after he was allowed to develop. Remove the threat now before it grows.

Im guessing a well placed calvary attack would be our best shot.
Since i doubt there's a player with mixed army big enough to make heavy damage.

I still think the best way to stop him is with defence, that many praets is really going to sting.

think about how much wheat is being eaten, that would limit his offensive numbers, if we start knocking them out he will bugger off

Yep - slow him right down with too many losses his attacks. Make sure he never gets a free attack, or if he does, that when he comes back it really costs him (and that there are enough scouts to stop him knowing what's ahead).
