MNU versus Marwick

While I participated in the defense, it was fairly expensive. No need to post any reports as 4 opposing waves were wiped out to the man (attacker was mao, an ex-FUNster). Thanks for all that participated in the defense.

That was a fine battle there. Gj. Damage done to the attacker 987 129 ress , our loses 399 913. Could do it with lesser casualties.

The toughest part was that we couldn't time him up because he was within an hour (cats speed) of the village, so I couldn't have a huge waiting force as there was crop concerns to consider.

However, despite rkw's thinking, I'll post the reports because it was a textbook case of "How to Lose Your Entire Army" by mao.

He did a fair amount of damage the day before (most importantly destroying the wall) gaining more and more confidence, but not ONCE did he scout me or send a clearing wave. And as such, overnight FUN moved in and he blindly walked his entire army in to the trap..

To top it off, he gets pissed off at the outcome (losing all his heavy artillery) and sends the rest of his forces without a look at what was still there...

AND worse yet this was the 2ND time we that we had quielty moved troops in to kill off a morning cat attack (first time on a much smaller scale, which is why I went for the help this time around).


Who cares right? Well, folks if do this and you are near a smart alliance's "strong hold," say good-bye to your villages as the chiefs would be off and running.

The defense can be done, it just takes some time and active planning of the village's owner. Some of Marwick's reinforcement came from 27+ hours away.

Marwick, reports are deceiving... don't know if it is the troop counter utility or if the report was doctored. It shows only Roman defensive troops, none of the others. Was the reports altered or is this a utility SNAFU?
