boosting idea...

ok on us7 my alliance had a boost system going and i thought it may be nice to have something like that going

the general idea is that everyone on the list sends one hour of resources to the person on the top of the list or on the day it is their turn

i know the embassy is a big thing and we should push towards that but we also can have this in place to ..im sure people can spare 2 hours of resources ...1 for the boost and 1 for the embassy...and this would be benificial to everyone to the person receiving it because the boost can go towards upping resource feilds so you can produce more ..and to the people sending because when it is your turn you will be receiving it all back if not more!

here is an example of how the list is

billy bob jo at his village jojo co or[0/0] send to on dec 10
tom at his village tommy co-or [100/100] send to on dec 12th
mike at his village mikeyboy co-or [50/50] send to dec 14th

everyone get my drift? this would work to great advantages if everyone spends it on increasing resource feilds and etc because then you will be able to build yourself up more as well or if you need it for a project etc...

anyone like the idea? could we have something like this here?

Speaking from a very brief thought of mathematical formula, wouldn't it actually be less beneficial and profiting to do that? Although it would appear as if you have a sudden growth spurt, you are losing an hours resource each day, so really, if you're at the top half of the alliance, you lose resources overall and you gain resources if you're under the average of the alliance.

This method of sharing really leads to an almost communist diffusion effect in which the alliance slowly averages out in population and what not.

The boosting scheme can work if we direct to it to a member who is lagging behind. We shouldn't send it to someone who is under constant raids,... we'd be giving the rez away. Members who aren't being raided all the time and are active, this is the best type of account that can use it. The 200 clay for me might not be all that useful, but for another account, this could help them up quickly. Thoughts on whether something like this can be useful?

maybe if we perfect this idea it could work out...

maybe send to the smaller members first so we can upgrade them

this could be voluntary to so it wont be labeled as communism...

You never know, Communism might work on Travian. Capitalism sure hasn't so it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Did anyone notice the similarities between this and the "boost the midgets" scheme of last season?

In my professional opinion, we should all wait until lite is forged from the fires of our leadership room before we start worrying about smaller people. We're not even stably large yet, so worry about yourself before other people.

I agree with Simmy - I think a bunch of people (myself included since that embassy is damn expensive) are still trying to build up their infrastructure and get themselves going as strong players. When we move into the SH, not only will we have Lite as a very good boosting target, but we also cut down on merchant travel time if any main members need help.
