Re: A boost for residence?
I would boost you, but I am trying to do the same thing. :-P
This is a good idea, esp if our starting villages are going to be vulnerable to chiefing (which they will be). So much better to have filled the expansion slots in the village when it is taken. A nice gift for the victor.

Re: A boost for residence?
Your starting village should be completely maxed on the resource fields and bonus buildings, if they are you wont need a boost to get to level 20 residence. If you arent getting raided in that village let resources build and be patient.

Re: A boost for residence?
Waiting for those last few levels takes a while... (esp when you are also trying to keep celebrations running).

Re: A boost for residence?
Well I guess you need to decide whether you can put off a celebration in your non SH village for a few days to get level 20 residence. I think in the long run it would be worth skipping a celebration in 1 village in exchange for settlers to gain a new village.

Re: A boost for residence?
This shoudn't be deserving of a boost. You can get it yourself. Boosts are for things that need to be done quickly. I did the same thing, but just waited it out.

Re: A boost for residence?
I think the officers need to come up with specific requirements for boosting to stop confusion on the forums. In my opinion the only really important ones are
Boosts in LITE for settlers for 2nd village once lvl 10 res is built
Boosts to repair cata'd villages, or losses of large amounts of troops in a defensive action of another member (eg when your sitter gets your troops killed
).
There may be others considered important by more members of the alliance, if so bring them up.

Re: A boost for residence?
I agree that some boosts are much more important than others. However, I don't mind if people post slightly less important boost requests (as long as they are still good goals) and helping can be optional. Such mutual assistance builds much more important resources: trust, friendship, interaction, knowledge of where we each are geographically (and developmentally), and so on.

Re: A boost for residence?
this is true, but what happens when something important happens and half the alliance says they dont have availiable merchants for it. With all my trading for crop, and moving res around i have time for only 1-2 boosts a day, one of those taken by FLANK

Re: A boost for residence?
True, but I guess people need to know their limits. This is part of their discretion. If you can't afford the optional boost (either in resources or merchants), then you don't boost.

Re: A boost for residence?
lol damn all that was asked was for extra wood as we all know a resi eats wood like hell...id like to set up some trades if possble...and on the point of bringing up only certain boosts...last server this happened were this section of the forum was dead because no one would dare help someone without an order from leadership too...so i was just hoping for either some trades or some kindness...someone give me some lumber but i see that this is far to difficult for some to handle...i expect farther into the server for this part of forum to die (as it did last server)...where boosts were only givin to those who asked a leader or if you begged in some chat...(last server it was IRC,
this server it is skype)
this server it is skype)

Re: A boost for residence?
That would be a shame if people thought they were not allowed to ask. I would send you some lumber just to make the point, but unfortunately I have developed a lumber shortage today (might have something to do with upgrading all my walls!).

EAM, contact me regarding wood. I can trade for your clay (or iron)...
