Nikani's intentions

Some of you have already seen this, but just so that everyone here can see it, I am posting one of the latest Nikani MMs for everyone to consider.

Nikani has dropped the confeds with FUN*F and FUN-LITE. We have asked and suggested recently that you prepare troops and chiefs in preparation for new activity in the NW. This is part of that movement. According to the Travian Rules, FUN*F and FUN-LITE will be fair game for farming, chiefing, general mayham within 48 hours.

The FUN alliance defends its villages well if they can tell which village is being attacked, so pick your targets carefully, fake fake fake, and tear them up. eg. if you have 5 waves at village A, then match those 5 waves in timing to village B, etc. FUN cannot withstand a widespread and organized offensive attack.

Please also help us welcome Nikani F into the Nikani family. If you have any questions please ask your wing leader, Hera or BigMike.

So they are welcoming their new "family members" by asking them to participate in the slaughter of their "old family". Everyone faces a choice here:
(a) Stand by and watch their new family try to kill their old family. Of course, it will be hard to do this and remain truly neutral.
(b) Join in with Nikani's attacks. Of course, if you check other posts, I am not sure that Nikani are going to be so safe themselves from other developments.
(c) Return to FUN and the stronghold and show that we stand together. If we are killed, better to die with friends than survive with such a "family".

One other point to consider: if FUN*F had not responded to the events of yesterday by using abusive language towards Nikani and threatening & attacking members of the new Nikani F wing in retaliation, would such an order have been issued?

With respect, yes, I believe so. We had evidence that they were planning to backstab us a few days earlier, though it was not conclusive.

But here is another question: if yesterday's events had not occurred, would they have had the guts to take us all on together?

We'll see how long their attacks last when we are back together.

That said, I do regret that there were threats and a couple of attacks (let's not exaggerate. There were two that I know of). But did you expect FUN to not be angry? No, you expected us to be angry as you have admitted in your other post. I think we were actually amazingly restrained in our response to a very serious betrayal.

I believe that whether it happen or not, Nikani was playing both sides and waiting to see which way to do it. Ultimately, I believe that if MNU and FUN were hurt bad enough, Nikani would rise.

Yep, they didn't want to have to pick sides. They wanted to stay back and see who did better and try to be friends with both sides until then.
