Mora and Andy K: oases

Mora and Andy K: oases
We need a clear policy on oases to stop disputes. Here is my take on Mora and Andy K, and then my suggested policy.
Andy K took a 50% cropper that was also available to Mora's 15c. Andy did this without contacting Mora beforehand to warn him. That was his first mistake. Mora wrote to Andy (quite a dismissive and somewhat disrespectful IGM). That was Mora's first mistake. Andy wrote to me to ask what to do. I suggested three things:
• That he apologise to Mora for not writing to him. I am fairly sure he did not do this.
• That he ask Mora to apologise for his tone. I do not know if he did this.
• That he ask Mora to clear a different oasis for him, but that Mora should get the 50% crop oasis due to having the 15c.
Andy never replied. Then, I heard a few days later that he has left FUN and switched to LITE, presumably over this issue. I should have also written to Mora at the start, but I thought Andy would write back first.
Now Mora has taken the 50% cropper. Andy has talked to others and has decided that only FUN*F think he should lose the cropper. I think it is important that we reach an agreement on this and present a united front.
Does anyone here think that the person with the 15c ought not to end up with the most croppers possible? This is best for the whole alliance.
My suggestion:
• You may not take an oasis without IGMing those alliance members nearby who could potentially claim it. This does not include NAPs, though does include Confeds.
• First in is not necessarily best dressed.
• It is always best to work things out with your neighbours through negotiation and, but in cases of dispute, 15c have precedence over 9c and 9c over 6c for crop oases. 5-clay/iron/lumber have priority over 4 (and 4 over 3, and 3 over 1) for other resources. For mixed oasis, the village who would get more fields boosted has priority (this is the general principle). E.g. a 9c and 5-clay both have access to a clay/crop oasis. The 9c will have 12 fields boosted (9 crop, 3 clay), the 5-clay will have 11 fields boosted (6 crop, 5 clay), so the 9c has a slight priority.
What do people think?

Agreed also , who agreed that only FUN*F thinks he should lose oasis? Who did he speak to? I know BIG.BOSS is one of those people.

He said he spoke to BIG.BOSS and Arc. He seems to have kept asking people when he didn't first get the answer he liked. He also moved from leadership to members. Did he write to leadership of LITE or main?

Re: Mora and Andy K: oases
I told Mora to take the oasis when ready, and he did that, so it's all my responcibility.
Before that I explained to Andy that the 50% oasis will bring mora ~18 times more crop, so that he will have to let it go.
He never replied, but I don't think he could've changed anything...

Re: Mora and Andy K: oases
First wind of this I got was a goodbye IGM from Andy. In the IGM he said he was leaving for personal issues. It was then 92 days later) I found out from BIG.BOSS why AndyK left.
The key to all this is the communication between the 2 parties. We, as leaders, can only mediate so far. If the 2 can't communicate to each other in a respectful way, it doesn't work. if we mediate and make a decision, one or both of them may not be happy with the outcome.
Speaking of which (hijacking this post),.... we have a similiar issue with EAM165 and Vildkatt. Vildkatt settled a 15 cropper. EAM165 asked if it was ok to take it if he repaid the cost in settlers and helping her find a new 15 cropper location. I said it was ok, AS LONG AS HE CONTACTED VILDKATT FIRST TO WORK OUT THE DETAILS. Appearantly, the cats came and destroyed the village and Vildkatt had no idea why.
Vildkatt has been on me about retribution or punishment and so it is taking time to calm her down. She is writing (or has written) in a professional way to EAM. While I only hear her side, I haven't contacted EAM to see his side. I'm hoping this one can be worked out a bit more quietly than the AndyK/Mora issue.

Why didn't Andy contact you? He contacted me and Cursez and V-la.
If EAM doesn't have a good reason or excuse, he should lose his leadership position for a move like that. It is disgraceful.

^ TL;DR ^
A cropper capital [rock] beats a normal non-capital village [scissors] and day... Why even talk about this.

Happened about 3 days ago. Will look for another cropper for her... EAM will help her with settlers I presume.

Don't know why Andy didn't contact me.
The 15 cropper is in a cluster of 4 EAM villages, one being a 9 cropper. Key here was communication. Vildkett was asked to post in the forum, but also check with EAM. I think she missed this, but EAM should have waited for her IGM response before sending the cats. So, as long as well can find Vildkatt another 15 cropper and EAM can help with her new settlers, she'll deal with it. Lost time and additional rez, she'll have to suck up.

Re: Mora and Andy K: oases
I agree that a cropper capital ought to have the oasis, but it is a matter of procedure and communication. If we piss off members every time we do something, we will be left with no members. People need to understand why things are happening and be compensated. I think Mora should pay Andy some crop for a few days as he was left with -1K crop and has been NPCing to feed his troops (which is idiotic when there are plenty of 1:1 offers out there, I know).Dootzkie wrote:^ TL;DR ^
